Asking for Prayer, Offering Hope

I received word last evening of a hurting department in Louisiana.  Several of their officers responded to a call where they encountered a gruesome scene in progress.

Without going into any of the details, the one who contacted me asked for prayer for those officers involved, for they are having a hard time dealing with what they saw and had to do.  I assured her I would be praying and asked if I could share that need and she agreed.

Friends, these are dark times.  It seems as if the enemy is rearing his ugly head more and more, destroying nations, families and individuals.  Yet, for those who put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ, we have hope!

Isaiah 40:31 says, "...but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

Today, I would ask you to please lift up these officers and this particular situation to our Heavenly Father, but I'd also like to remind each of you, that wherever you are and whatever you are dealing with, God is there.  He knows your hurts...He knows your frustrations...and He has the answer...Himself!

Draw close to Jesus today, sweet friend.  He's the all every one of us needs.

Blessings,
Kristi
