Enjoying the Seasons and God's Blessings

Sniiiiiiiffffff  (breathing in).  Do you smell that?  It's fall and there's an aroma of it all around us.  Hot apple cider brewing on the stove.  Kettle corn in the big open vats at county craft fairs.  Oh, and don't forget the autumn scent of freshly raked leaves...yes there's a smell to them.  It reminds me of when I was a little girl and dad would rake up a big pile for me to jump in.  With leaves in my hair and face, I could definitely take in their aroma.

Fall is such a feast for the senses.  Though I tend to be a spring and summer girl, I enjoy the fall colors, crisp air and great smells.  What about you?  Do you enjoy the fall?  Are there any special memories you have of this time of year?

Today as I sit here at the computer looking out the window at the wonder God has made, I can't help but say "thank you!"  The Lord has given us so much, even when all we can see are the troubles in life.

Each season, we are again reminded of God's goodness; of His fresh and unwavering love.  Summer gives it's warmth and long evenings with friends and family.  Fall blesses us with vibrant colors and crisp refreshing winds.  Winter is a time of covering the old and replacing it with a clean, white coverlet;  and finally, spring marches in with singing birds, and flowers awakening to the newness of life.  Isn't God good?!

So today, as you sip on that cider or bag up those leaves, look around and thank God for this season, and remember to count your blessings.  Before you know it, change will be coming around the corner.

Enjoying His day,
Kristi

  2. I love the Fall colors, but also really enjoy spring and the newness of life. Isn't God good that He gives us change! :) Life would be so boring without it.
