Can We Move Forward Post-Election?

I cannot even begin to wrap my mind around the amount of drama that is taking place in our nation.  If it weren't so sad, it might be amusing.

We have just experienced a remarkable, historical, and dare I say miraculous, election where God showed up and answered the prayers of thousands upon thousands who were praying and seeking His help.

We prayed.  He delivered...an opportunity to change.

However, now we are experiencing fall out from those who cannot handle the thought of having a leader who may call us to play by the rules...stay in the lines...obey authority...and perhaps even rub elbows with those who still believe in God.

Celebrities are whining and crying foul; threatening to move out of country.

Protesters are scrawling hate-filled words on police cars and making fools of themselves by rioting over not getting their way - for many, not even astute enough to understand what they are mad about in the first place.

Liberals, still stung by defeat, are hurling insult and cheap threats to Bible-thumping, back woodsy folk who don't have a clue as to what might be best for the nation. (Said tongue in cheek...forgive me)

So, how do we move forward post-election?

What do we do to calm the tide that's rising?

Can we unify and again make progress? The answer is a simple "Yes!  But we have to work together".

All of us, myself included, need to refocus.  It is time to set aside our differences and move forward.

God has been merciful in not wiping us off the map - something I assure you we all deserve.

He has given us a leader who respects life; has succeeded in his own family by having children who honor their father; who appreciates, understands and respects our law enforcement; has excellent business knowledge; who seeks to protect people's right to worship; and who has worked with countless people of all different backgrounds, ethnicity's, etc.

Is he perfect...absolutely not.  No-one on this planet is.

Has he failed and made mistakes.  Absolutely, everyone has at some point.

However, we must allow him the opportunity to prove himself as a leader.  We have to come together and support this God-ordained, God-given man and position, in order for us to move ahead and strengthen as a nation.

There's a verse in Mark 3:25 that says, "If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand."

This "house" of ours must come together and unify, or we will fail to exist.  Extreme thinking?  I don't think so.  Just simple truth that needs to be heeded.

Regardless of what side of the fence you were on in this process, I implore you to wipe the mat and now bridge the gap.  Let us come together and make this nation great again. Let's seek healing and restoration and live with an eye on the greater good of all mankind.  Let us plan for, prepare and produce a strong future generation who desires that all men and women remain free and able to live out the American dream.

In God we trust, for HE is who deserves all the glory!  He is a merciful God!!

Blessings,
Kristi
