An Unclouded Mirror

The Lord often teaches me lessons through ordinary tasks, and last week was no exception.

Friday morning, as I finished up final moment wardrobe detail before heading to work, I pulled out an old compact mirror from my makeup bag in order to check the back of my hair.  The mirror was crusted over by a thick layer of hairspray causing my view to be clouded and nearly impossible to make out any lone rangers that might not be in their proper position.

Out of sheer frustration, I dunked the mirror under the water and scrubbed the film of dried, sticky goo off the the glass.  Instantly, I could see clearly that it was not going to be a good hair day.  Sigh.

Somehow, God used this mundane episode to remind me of a scripture in 1 Corinthians where he talked about our view of God and His work around us.

"Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face.  Now I know in part, then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known." 1 Cor. 13:12

Today, you or I might question God's motives, His action or lack-thereof in our lives, or just simply be in the dark as to how He is responding to a certain situation.  Be still, loved one.  Just as I could not see beyond my clouded vision, one of these days He will remove the blinders from our eyes and we will see with clear perspective all the wonderful details He has so beautifully orchestrated on our behalf

God bless and have a good week!  P.S.  Welcome to my new site!! :)
