Sneak Peek at Layers, a New Bible Study for Women

Dear friends...

Are you layered up?  You know, those things that hinder the voice and power of God in your life.

I think we can all think of times when we've put this or that before God, but I'm talking deep seated issues like Anger, Distraction, Pride, Impatience, Doubt, and Unforgiveness.  They tend to stick to us like gum on a hot pavement.

But there's hope!  God's desire for us is to walk with Him unhindered, and I believe that through this 5 week study, we will get a clearer picture of what that's supposed to look like.

In the first lesson, you and I are going to reflect on Superficiality, something I like to compare with that thin, paper-like exterior of the onion.  It’s fragile and easily torn, having no purpose other than to keep the dirt away from the rest of the vegetable.  It gives off an outward appearance of what may or may not be underneath, and often hides other deeper imperfections.

From there we go to Excuses, Pre-conceived Ideas and Dreams, Pride, and finally, False Humility.  Believe me, it's not an easy walk.  Matter-of-fact, even as I was writing it, I got my toes stepped on more than a dozen times!

The next 4 weeks take us deeper into the heart of the matter.  We are able to glimpse into the lives of folks such as Job, Mary, Peter and King David as they, too, struggled with layers hindering their effectiveness and faith.

So what are you waiting for?  Grab a pencil and a highlighter.  Dust off your Bible and dive into this raw study directly from the heart of God.  I don't think you'll be disappointed!

AND...don't forget to let me know what you think.  I want to hear how God is impacting your life through the pages of this book.

You can find the study at www.amazon.com or order it now on this website.  Just go to my books tab and pick up your copy today!

Thanks and God bless you, friends!

  3. Hi, I appreciate your blog. Over the recent weeks, I have been asked to prescribe Bible studies to women who are both in gatherings or essentially scanning for new, available material for their individual study time. Today I am sketching out 5 of the best Bible studies for women that I propose and my trust is that you will discover one or two that God is controlling you to do! Thanks all!!
