Getting Back to the Heart of Worship

In my prayer time this morning, and in the midst of the junk that has been swirling around in my thoughts as of late, God whispered the words of this song.
"When the music fades
All is stripped away
And I simply come
Longing just to bring
Something that's of worth
That will bless your heart...
I'm coming back to the heart of worship
And it's all about you,
It's all about you, Jesus
I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it
When it's all about you,
It's all about you, Jesus" - Michael W. Smith
He's right, you know. It's all about God. Life--what we do, is a reflection of our worship, or lack thereof.
It doesn't matter how funny we are, or well known, it doesn't matter what kind of car we drive or how big our paycheck is. It doesn't matter what gifts we put under the tree or what subdivision we live in. He could care less if our name is on some billboard or that we have thousands of followers on social media, what matters to Him most is that we make time to just sit before Him and be silent. To listen more than we speak. To love as He has asked. To worship in everything we do. To be thankful for all we have. To be content with who we were created to be. And to obey even when it doesn't make sense.
Below is the song He brought to mind. Listen to it sometime today. Let it chase away the junk in your thoughts.
Blessings...
