Finding God in the Ordinary
Aye, aye, aye!! Definitely a bad hair and hat day for Kristi! You know, some times you just have to laugh at yourself. The two of us look like two old timers from pioneer days or something. Oh well, it was hot and I need as much brain function as I could possibly hold onto, thus the hat.
Yesterday, my sister and her family and the two of us, went on a nearby river for a day's float. It was perfect - sun, warm temperatures, good food and great fellowship.
As we drifted along in our kayaks, I couldn't help but notice the beauty of the towering bluffs, bowing treeline, turtles along the shore, etc., and thank God for His infinite creativeness. Isn't it just amazing, friends, how He made everything we see? From the stars in the sky to microscopic organisms, God made them all. Just gives me goosebumps thinking about it!
Today, I would challenge you to look around. Focus on something He has made and thank Him for it. It is simply amazing, that even in the ordinary, we can find God and have a front row seat to a small portion of His awesome power and goodness. So with that, I bid you to "Seize the day!" Or, at least enjoy it...with Him. :)
Blessings,
Kristi
Praise the LORD from the heavens, praise him in the heights above...for he commanded and they were created. Psalm 148:1,5
P.S. Check out this video. It is a great reminder to us today.
